As many of you know, Jennifer Lopez is a talented singer and has awed audiences all over the nation. She became well known and eventually picked up the nickname "J-Lo". What most people do not know, however, is that Lopez has starred in many hit films, including the movie ' My Little Girl.'

'My Little Girl' was released in 1987 and is a drama film that interested many viewers. Jennifer Lopez was not the main actress of the film, but has excelled in the movie industry ever since the debut. The film tells the story of a young woman named Franny Bettinger, played by Mary Stuart Masterson.

Franny comes from well-off family but makes a decision to get a job. She ends up getting hired at a half way house and finds herself in certain unforeseen predicaments.

The misfortunes are only a mystery to Franny though, as it is apparent that her problems stem from her work.

She has let herself become too emotionally involved in her work and lets the people she meet affect her personally.

Bettinger has a big heart and perseveres toward her goals. She wants nothing more than to teach the young adults that they are worth while. Franny attempts to help everyone she comes across and does her best to treat everybody equally.

She is determined for them to learn that success is within their grasp and that they do not need to keep ending up in places such as the half way house. Her family does not support her positive outlook for the residents. She is constantly facing opposition from family members, who claim that the residents will most likely end up right back in treatment.

They insist that she needs to separate herself from her work. Her family members aren't the only people who feel this way. Her supervisor has explained the dangers of the situation and can only hope that she will heed her warning.
